Pop! A Bubble Lab Exhibit Design
Pop! A Bubble Lab was developed from start to finish by our in-house team at The DoSeum, and it was an absolute blast to bring to life! The project was brimming with love, creativity, and collaboration across multiple departments. As the Senior Graphic Designer, I was responsible for crafting the overall look, tone, and feel—ensuring that every visual element popped with energy and excitement to perfectly match the hands-on, bubble-filled experience we wanted to offer our guests.
The Goal
Everyone loves bubbles! But do we really know why? Pop! A Bubble Lab is designed to bring the science of bubbles to life in a fun and hands-on way. As the lead designer, my goal is to create an immersive world for kids to explore while ensuring that all bubble-related facts and information are both accessible and engaging. I achieve this through pops of color, playful typography, and dynamic signage, offering an interactive and informative experience throughout the exhibit. One of my favorite parts, of course, is the 25-ft window and wall of cascading bubbles, which serves as a striking centerpiece, drawing visitors in and sparking curiosity!
The Results
I’m beyond thrilled with how everything came to life on this incredible project—from the dynamic design of the look, tone, and feel to the logo, typography, and wall textures. It all truly came together in the best way!
Pop! A Bubble Lab is one of our most beloved exhibits at The DoSeum! Our guests can dive into a world of pure magic, experimenting with fog and three-dimensional shapes to create out-of-this-world bubble creations. They’re captivated by the rainbows of light that bounce around the bubbles and the fascinating effects of surface tension. It’s the perfect place for kids to unleash their curiosity and explore the fun, fizzy science behind the suds!
